Potatoes Au GratinINGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
Texas Style Potatoes
Defrost potatoes. Mix other ingredients together, then mix in potatoes. Place in 9X13 pan. Top with 2 cups crushed cornflakes mixed with 1/2 cup of melted margarine. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Great dish for a potluck. Cheese potatoes...so easyMy family loves these potatoes. I had a friend ask for the recipe and I was reluctant to give it to her because there is nothing to the recipe.
Drain cooked potaotes. Add the sauce. Put in 13X9 baking pan sprayed with cooking spray or greased with butter. Dot with butter. Be generous. If it looks like it is too thick just pour a little milk over the potatoes. No need to season as the sauce is very well seasoned. Bake in 350 degree preheated oven until golden brown on top. ***The recipe my friend wanted was when I made the potatoes with the Alfredo sauce. I have used other kinds of the sauce though as this recipe is so easy. Authentic Irish recipe...BOXTY
Directions: Grate raw potaotes and mix with the cooked mashed potatoes. Add salt, pepper and flour. Beat egg and add to mixture with just enough milk to make a batter that will drop from a spoon. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a hot griddle or frying pan. Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side. ***The recipe doesn't say, but my mom used to make these and she called them potato cakes. Be sure and have some oil in your pan. HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY |
